Legal Resources in Edmonton

Free and affordable legal resources in Edmonton for low-income individuals and the general public looking for legal information and/or advice.

Hello everyone! I’ve compiled a number of free and affordable legal resources in Edmonton for anyone seeking legal advice/assistance. Find them below ⬇

Edmonton Community Legal Centre

Telus House, South Tower

Second Floor 10020 – 100 Street

Edmonton, AB T5J 0N3

Need assistance with a legal matter but can’t afford a lawyer? The Edmonton Community Legal Centre provides low-income individuals with free legal aid.

They will provide information and advice, help you prepare and fill out legal documents, and refer you to other organizations that might better suit your needs. They also host free legal education sessions and other programs and services that make justice more accessible to everyone.

I’ve personally contacted them before and they are wonderful people! I didn’t use any of their services so I can’t really speak about that but they certainly helped point me in the right direction when I needed legal advice. I suggest reaching out to them if you are in need of assistance.

Simply give them a call or fill out their client intake form to see if you can qualify and apply for one of their programs.

Alberta Limited Legal Services Project

No physical address

The Alberta Limited Legal Services Project is a relatively new project created to help make legal services more affordable for people to access.

It allows lawyers to provide more limited legal services to their clients so that those who can’t afford to hire a lawyer to handle a case from beginning to end might still receive the legal assistance they need.

Among the limited services that lawyers in this project can provide are legal advice (including second opinions), document preparation and notarization and court representation.
