My Story
Hi! Welcome to my blog. My name’s Klarissa Jeiel and I’m a new lawyer from Edmonton, Alberta. I’m originally from the Philippines and I moved to Canada in 2011. I graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law and got called to the Alberta Bar in August 2024. Here are a few fun facts about me:
- I’m left-handed.
- I completed my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Politics-History-Economics at The King’s University in Edmonton, Alberta.
- When it comes to hobbies, I’m a jack-of-all-trades. I love to read books, draw, watch movies and TV shows, design and play the piano!
I created this site because I’ve always been passionate about the law and I wanted a safe space for me to share that passion with others who might feel the same way. As for what you can expect from me on here, I’d like to:
- document my journey from law school to getting called to the Bar for fellow aspiring lawyers to find guidance from and;
- share whatever interesting bits I learn about the law in hopes that people find them both useful and meaningful.
